Mechanical/Operations Technician

The MechanicalIOperations Technician supports ROV and Sidescan Operations by conducting repair and maintenance activities on a variety of ROV and Sidescan equipment while at the home location and serving as a crew member during at-sea operations. The MechanicalIOperations Technician reports directly to the APM/Operations and ultimately to the Commercial Operations Manager.

 

The candidate should have the ability to interpret hydraulic schematics and be skilled in the use of hydraulic test sets, flow/pressure meters, and non-destructive testing.

 

The Mechanical/Operations Technician should be able to work with minimum supervision under a variety of conditions at the shop and in the field. With training, the technician must be able to effectively handle a variety of offshore watch standing requirements including cable handling, sonar operator, vehicle pilot navigation computer operator, and general watch stander.

 

This position is an offshore deployable position and may require world wide travel on short notice for needed periods. It is expected that this person would be out on travel 1 – 3 months of the year and when not on travel the person is expected to be at the home facility performing system repair and maintenance. A current valid passport is required.
