Mold Maker - Injection Molding

A premier supplier of plastic packaging solutions worldwide is seeking and experienced MOLD MAKER for a plant/engineering facility outside of Atlanta, GA.

The Mold Maker is responsible for plant safety, quality, and repairing, cleaning and performing preventative maintenance on molds.

Responsibilities:

· Disassemble, clean, repair, make mold components, and re-assemble molds.
· Complete all applicable paperwork to track mold maintenance and repair.
· Performing preventative maintenance on molds.
· Repair of old molds and fabrication of new molds.
· Fabrication of new molds and mold parts.
· Operation of mold shop machinery & equipment.
· Polishing molds and their components.
· Rebuilding molds.
· Ability to interpret mold drawings, diagrams and schematics.
· Perform housekeeping functions in the mold shop and in and around the injection molding machines.

Requirements:
- 5 + years of injection mold making experience
- Must have mold maker tools
- Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings/mold prints.
-  Ability to accurately estimate and quote jobs
-  Ability to interact professionally with management and engineering when working on tight production timelines.
- ideally have a technical degree
