Molding Manager

JOB Summary:

 

essentIaL duties and responsibilitIes:Supervising, training and evaluating all molding employees Reporting daily work order completion Establish machine production schedule in conjunction with planning requirements Performing mold set ups as required Diagnosing and correcting problems on set up and operation of molds Responsible for updating and maintaining accurate mold process sheets for each production and prototype mold Insure that all set-ups are made in accordance with process control documentations Assigning daily duties for department and coordinating inter-shift communications Keeping all molding machines running at top efficiencies and informing Plant Manager of any problems Maintaining molding machine PM schedule and coordinate with Equipment Engineering Responsible for accuracy and on time Mold Condition Reports to QA and tool room Purchasing of resin or department supplies Responsible for obtaining and maintaining current material specifications and MSDS for all resins, colors and additives. Coordinating scrap/re-grind re-cycling or re-sale resin Facilitating sample production Setups, production adherence, fill-in role of material handler/operator as required Taking a lead role in the development and implementation of process control Maintaining a safe, clean and organized working environment Taking a lead role in the development of a total quality environment Other duties may be  assigned

 

education/experience/minimum requiremenTs:

· Education: High School degree or equivalent experience

 

· Certification/License:

 

· Experience:

· Multi-cavity molds using hot spru bushing or runner less molds.

· High volume production of cosmetic package components requiring tight tolerance, excellent visual appearance, color and consistency.

 

· Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

o Minimum 3 years working knowledge of injection molding equipment with at leas one year at supervisory level

o Bilingual, (English/Spanish) preferred

o Ability and desire to work in a team environment

o Analytical skills for troubleshooting and problem solving. DOE experience beneficial.

o Familiar with ‘Scientific Molding’ procedures a plus.

o Basic computer skills including Windows Outlook, Word and Excel

o Excellent work record, attendance, performance, attitude, communication, and reliability

o Ability to work any shift or any day
