- Lead Motor & Drive applications engineering for Industrial Technologies, with complete responsibility for motor electrical specifications, test plans and test results.
- Work with Sustaining Engineering and Development Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration within package.
- Support regional teams to ensure that local suppliers meet motor electrical specifications.
- Work with suppliers and third party testing centers to ensure that motors and drives meet specifications and demonstrate function with quality.
- Take lead in resolving field issues with motors and drives.
- Benchmark competitive motor and drive applications.
- Take lead in evaluating alternate motors/suppliers proposed for cost reduction/localization and deviations.
- Partner with universities and industry consultants to bring in advanced Motor and Drive technologies into IR ITS applications.
- Drive and leverage synergies with other IR businesses.

- Experience in Motor and Drive Industrial applications.
- Familiar with various electric motor designs, primarily AC machines, such as induction, synchronous (wound field), permanent magnet machines, and variable reluctance and hybrid constructions and drive technologies.
- Experience with troubleshooting and problem identification related to motors and drives.
- Candidate should have knowledge in the area of motor test procedures.
- Familiar with global industrial and commercial standards related to electric machines (eg, NEMA, IEE, EN norms, etc.)
