Fantastic National Commodity Director - Finish ProductsOpportunity! Bloomfield Hills, MIIt is always the right time for the right candidate to move to the right company.  Position yourself with a growing Fortune 200 company with operations in 51 markets and 26 states. THE OPPORTUNITY & WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A TOP CANDIDATE:We’re looking for a professional with experience in commodity strategy development.  This position is one of 4 team leaders that report to National VP Purchasing and Supply Chain, responsible for the development and deployment of sourcing strategies driving continuous improvements in cost, quality and productivity. Responsibility will be for over a $1B in annual spend for many of the features our customers 'touch and feel'.  Appliances, plumbing fixtures, door hardware, flooring, paint, lighting, cabinets, etc. REQUIREMENTS: Must be a proven 'winner' working within a matrixed organization Must be knowledgeable relative to quality systems, lean thinking and contemporary supply chain management techniques. Experience in the building products industry would be great, but not necessary. Extensive Category and Commodity Experience Comfortable with low number of direct reports  Works well as part of a talented team in Bloomfield Hills, MI and with an extended team in 8 geographic locations across the US who share our passion for reshaping this industry. (There is plenty of room for improvement here and we want someone to have fun getting at it.) 20-30% domestic travel would be expected. College Degree required. Advanced degree and/or professional certification a plus.
