National Field Sales Manager

 

EcoWater Systems is the recognized leader in the design, manufacturing, marketing and sales of residential water treatment products.  The products are sold though independent water treatment dealers, plumbing wholesalers, and private label national appliance brands through major home improvement and department store retailers. 

 

EcoWater Systems has an excellent opportunity for a National Field Sales Manager to lead a team of Regional Sales Managers that support the sales of our private label products through retail chain stores.  The Regional Sales Managers conduct group and individual store product training sessions, maintain effective relationships with the retailer contacts and ensure product presentation and assortment standards are maintained in their assigned stores.

 

Qualified candidates will have a proven record of success in increasingly responsible positions as a sales manager representing consumer products sold through major retailers.  The position will report to the Director of Sales and will be based out of our headquarters in Woodbury, Minnesota.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:Train, motivate and manage Regional Sales team to drive revenue growth.  Develop and monitor sales goal performance and ensure optimum productivity of all field activities. Coordinate with each EcoWater Retail Channel to ensure that their requirements are identified, prioritized and effectively implemented.Develop and provide effective communication and reporting of all field sales activities that will contribute to improving products, programs and growth of the retail channels.Participate with Regional Managers on key sales calls.  Establish and maintain effective relationships with important management contacts within retail customer organizations.Develop and conduct presentations in conjunction with managers meeting with retail channel buyers.Develop and manage annual budget for Field Sales team expenses that support profit goals.Develop a thorough understanding of specific market conditions as well as competitors products and programs.  Report developments and coordinate efforts to improve our position.This position requires 50-70% travel.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s Degree5-7 years sales experience in consumer products through national retailers. Experience managing a team of retail sales representatives is required.Proven track record of growth through field based initiatives.  Excellent sales skills and the ability to teach and develop these skills in others.  Excellent presentation and communication skills.Excellent analytical and managerial skills and the ability to motivate direct reports.Solid experience in revenue and expense budgeting and management.Ability to manage multiple projects, meet schedules and adapt to change.Ability to work well with internal staff in multiple functional areas.Highly organized and self-motivated with proven problem solving and negotiating skills.
