Network Administrator/Programmer

Bob Barker Company is currently searching for a Network Administrator/Programmer to join their corporate IT staff.

The Network Administrator/Programmer will be responsible for: developing and maintaining a Windows-based, multi-site consolidated network environment including voice and data communication systems, security, backup, and monitoring; managing systems including telephony, email, remote access, and network security; coordinating with vendors regarding contract negotiation, equipment installation, and support services as necessary; developing communication network strategies including security standards, current and future network topology, and capacity planning; developing web-based and other custom applications for internal and external customers; and evaluating emerging technologies for value-creating potential and inclusion in enterprise infrastructure.

Qualified applicants will have: A Bachelor's degree (technical) and 6+ years direct experience; extensive background in advanced switching and routing concepts, TCP/UDP-IP communications and network services including WINS/DHCP/DNS/AD;  professional network administration certification (minimum CCNA); experience in developing and maintaining standard concepts, practices and procedures for telephony systems including VOIP; proven programming & development experience, with emphasis on web-based applications that address specific business needs; and the ability to thrive in a team environment while exercising sound, independent judgment.
