Night Shift Forklift Operator

Follow the safety rules and procedures, especially those related to Lock OutTag Out of the power equipment, during setup and clean up of the shift. Housekeeping must be kept at all times. (SAFETY FIRST)! 2. Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on the forklifts to ensure it’s safe operation. Notify the Production Supervisor of any safety or maintenance problems immediately. 3. Ensure that all stacking supplies are available in the assigned areas: pallets, strapping, labels, and hoppers for the rejects. 4. Remove stacked pallets of product from turntables. Make sure all pallets meet Quality Assurance standards prior to applying stretch film wrap. Ensure the required tension is being applied. 5. Perform clean up duties in an expeditious manner and assist in other areas that require assistance. Ensure all waste strapping, cardboard; stretch film and other miscellaneous wood are kept separate from the scrap product. 6. Responsible for labeling and transportation of finished products from production area to staging yard storage location. 7. Following all safety rules and procedures, especially those related to the use of personnel protective equipment, safe lifting practices, and lock-out/tag-out issues. 8. Assures that all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in the assigned area(s). 9. All other duties as directed by Production Supervisor and/or Plant Manager. 10. Participates in training programs related to safety, quality, and the technical aspects of equipment maintenance and repair.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or must have at least 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
