Nuclear Application Engineer

 

Primary Responsibilities:
• Application Engineer focused on the Nuclear Power Industry
• Evaluate customer bid requirements, specifications, and other pertinent data.
• Assure proposed equipment meets technical and performance requirements.
• Prepare proposals using available information in PROS for standard products.
• Obtain cost estimates when product cannot be priced from PROS. Prepare proposal accordingly.
• Work closely with Sales to facilitate the sales effort and keep them informed on proposal status.
• Review customer orders to insure they are acceptable relative to commercial terms, price,
and delivery.
• Understand and implement FLS corporate policy to achieve both customer and company goals.
• Cooperate with other departments to execute customer orders and meet customer requirements.
• Participate in pre- and post – award meetings.
• Special projects as required.

Requires Ability to:
• Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Interact with all facets of the organization.
• Acquire product application knowledge.
• Meet established schedules.

Training / Education Required:
5-10 years experience in the Nuclear Industry
• BS Mechanical Engineer, BS Chemical Engineer, AB Engineer or equivalent
• Must be a self-motivated contributing team member.
• Organizational and planning skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
