OUTSIDE SALES

Immediate opening for an experienced electrical distribution Outside Sales Representative in the Metairie, LA branch (Greater New Orleans Area); position includes regular calls on commercial contractors in the area with the expectations of profitable sales growth of new and established accounts. Candidate must be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic and work with a team to reach branch goals Responsibilities:· Develop sales opportunities from existing accounts · Sell electrical products by establishing contacts and developing relationships with all of the customer buying influences · Maintain relationships with customers by providing support, information and product information · Work closely with suppliers to identify new and profitable business · Effectively communicate with inside sales personnel on quotes, new opportunities and existing business · Identify and communicate product improvements or new product applicants by remaining current on industry trends and market conditions · Physically call on accounts and solicit business Requirements:· At least two years of outside sales experience · Technical product knowledge of gear and controls a plus · Experience with industrial and OEM accounts · College degree and/or equivalent experience · Excellent PC skills · Excellent phone, customer service and written/oral communication skills a must · Willingness to do whatever it takes to satisfy the customer
