Operations Coordinator

This position provides project support for the Vice President of Manufacturing.  Projects may vary widely in scope, but require a extremely high level of detail, error-free work, and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Typical projects will include updating project time lines, developing presentations, analyze data, coordinating meetings and tracking action items. 

 

BASIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide project support for the Vice President of Manufacturing

· Generate and track key performance metrics

· Organize appointments, itineraries, travel arrangements and conference calls. 

· Act as liaison between the corporate office and Arden’s manufacturing plants to follow-up on projects and open tasks

· Provide analysis and support in Excel/Word/Access, and create PowerPoint presentations

· Coordinate inventory reporting and the processes for disposition

· Provide regular reporting and analysis of inventory values, pending purchases, excess items.

· Develop a network of liquidators, and work with the sales team to move identified inventories.

· Provide project updates for import launch activates to Arden’s engineering team located in North Carolina.

· Coordinate outside testing services and resolve testing failures by working with the appropriate members of the Arden organization.  Contact testing engineers, as necessary, to resolve issues.

· Manage the publication of the quarterly Stitchin’ Times newsletter.  This would include soliciting information from the plants and guest writers, creating the newsletter, working with plant personnel to translate newsletter to Spanish, printing, and distributing to plants and corporate personnel. 

· Set up various Trade Shows that the company participates in for the foodservice & institutional, hospitality, and outdoor divisions, including company registration, booth reservation, ordering/shipping samples and literature, ordering refreshments, and working with Graphics Department on items for the show.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Advanced PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Outlook. As well as have the technical ability to learn applicable in-house programs within 60 days.

· Proven ability to handle a high volume of confidential work with extreme accuracy and adjust to changing priorities.

· Ability to anticipate needs and solve problems, possesses excellent verbal and written  communication skills,

· Be service oriented and able to present oneself in a professional and cordial manner.

· Must be a team player with a self starting attitude that can work with limited supervision.

· 2-5+ years experience, BA degree
