Operations Manager (Bilingual)

This individual will have primary responsibility for managing all plant operations and functional teams including approximately 45 production and lead personnel in all aspects of manufacturing including lumber remanufacturing, product assembly, production planning, materials and inventory control and process design and improvement.  Excellent organizational, personnel management and leadership skills are essential. 

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Manage all manufacturing/production operations, raw materials and finished goods inventories, shipping and receiving.

 

Develop and implement strategies for most effective use of materials, machines, and employees.

 

Manage the manufacturing team, administer and maintain employee files, time and attendance records, production reports, inventory reports, assembly and process instructions, safety documentation, and all other operational related documentation. 

 

Set standards for production efficiency. Review production costs and product quality, and modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operations.

 

Ensure employees receive appropriate training for their job, as well as comprehensive safety training and compliance with all federal, state and company requirements. Participate in implementing effective employee development programs.

 

Ensure all manufacturing equipment and facilities are properly maintained and remain in efficient operating order.

 

Recommend and execute capital improvements and expansions.

 

Develop and implement innovative process improvements to achieve company goals.

 

P & L Responsibility for manufacturing operations.

 

Maintain high quality standards for all products and processes with a continuous focus on providing outstanding service to our clients

The desired candidate will possess the following;

 

- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish

- BS Industrial/Mfg Engineering or Operations Management or similar educational/work experience

- Strong analytical, planning and leadership skills

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Familiarity and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

 

Experience or familiarity with wood products manufacturing is desirable, but not required.

 

 

COMPENSATION
