Operations Planner

Colder Products, a leading manufacturer of specialized quick disconnect couplings, seeks an experienced Planner to manage our operations planning processes.  Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this position will work closely with Production, Procurement, Materials Management, Sales, and Product Managers to develop operations plans and production schedules.  Areas of responsibility include forecasting, capacity planning, and production scheduling.  This role will also be responsible for process improvements and system data integrity throughout the demand management system.

 

The selected candidate will:

§ Analyze demand requirements and establish production and inventory strategies that optimize operations effectiveness

§ Create and communicate production schedules to meet customer demand

§ Develop close working relationship with Sales, Production, Materials Management, and Product Management to ensure efficient and effective communications

§ Develop and maintain forecasts for demand of finished products and components

§ Analyze capacity resources to ensure operations can meet scheduled and forecasted demand requirements

§ Review data integrity in demand management system including forecasts, MRP, Material Master data, BOMs, Routings, and stock requirements

§ Work with manufacturing and materials members on a daily basis to ensure efficient execution of plans and schedulesUtilize statistical tools and Lean Manufacturing principals in daily work to drive problem solving and process improvements

 Our ideal candidate will possess:

§ Four year degree

§ 5-9 years experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

§ Demonstrated success in Demand Management and Production Planning

§ Strong analytical skills

§ Ability to drive process and systems improvements

§ Experience with SAP is desired

§ APICS certification preferred

§ Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts
