Operations & Special Projects Analyst
Our client, a multi million dollar global company seeks a driven “A” player to become a part of the growing dynamic organization.
The successful candidate will partner with subsidiary management teams to drive enhanced operating and financial performance within and across our subsidiary businesses. This person will use his background, strong analytical capabilities, proven project management skills, and great interpersonal talent to aid, and at times lead managers and management teams to value-enhancing, action-oriented programs.
This individual will continuously analyze existing business performance and provide critical insights and pro-active recommendations to enhance performance. A significant portion of the work will be focused on specific projects – assisting in the integration of acquisitions, engaging in the turnaround of troubled operations, and leading cross-group, company-wide initiatives.
The candidate will be action oriented, with a clear understanding that while analysis, planning and recommendations are important, it is execution and implementation which deliver results.
Essential Functions:
Conduct on-going analysis of subsidiary results. Monitor and advise on progress of existing programs. Identify the need for specific change initiatives. Work with management teams to craft programs and solutions which solve specific problems. Provide proactive solutions and support to management – be part of their solution. Work with management teams to ensure specific initiatives are fully implemented. Work with management teams to coordinate and/or provide leadership of company-wide programs. Examples include Engineering programs, Operations programs and Accounting programs. Will identify the need for company or departmental enhancement programs, followed by working with management teams to craft specific turn-around solutions and programs in appropriate areas, then will oversee and help deliver progress of program implementation. Advise, monitor, and in some cases lead project management activities, work with management to remove roadblocks and find solutions, and then follow through to completion.Provide assistance to subsidiaries on business strategy, financial performance, annual planning, and on-going operations. Review and advise on business and operations strategies (e.g., participate in quarterly strategy reviews). Monitor lead and realize program execution and results. Build relationships with and become partners with management. Visit multiple locations and review and provide recommendations on operations metrics and strategies. Review monthly financial forecasts of individual subsidiaries (e.g., current performance vs. commitments/plan). Highlight opportunities and provide practical, action-focused recommendations. Support, review, question and provide recommendations of subsidiary capital requests. Follow up to ensure capital requests’ results are realized.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline and “top-tier” MBA required. 2-5 years Consulting experience. 2-5 years Line Operations experience. Strong knowledge of business disciplines (e.g., operations, finance, supply chain, marketing, etc.). Skilled at working in a variety of cultures and at multiple levels in organizations. Able to build partnerships and relationships with all levels in an organization. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft and internal company applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, e-mail, internet, etc.). Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in difficult/demanding situations. Current and valid driver’s license.
