Optical Mechanical Technician

1. Responsible for the assembling, aligning and testing of optical assemblies to fulfill the output Kanban requirements for imaging in the Gimbal production department. 2. Troubleshoot using electronic schematics, oscilloscope, digital volt meter, and signal generator down to component level. 3. Responsible for all testing of optics - assemblies using interferograms, optical alignment telescopes, alignment fixture and auto collimators, oscilloscopes, multimeters and electronic test fixtures. 4. Responsible for completing the necessary paperwork related to material movement. 5. Perform other job related duties as required, including ESD and ISO requirements. 

 

  Certificate in electronics / optics or equivalent required. Minimum one year experience in an optics environment. Requires high degree of hand/eye coordination. Must be able to interpret electronic schematics and perform high-level assemblies. Working knowledge of electronic test equipment required, e.g., oscilloscopes, digital volt meter, and signal generator. Familiar with JIT/Lean/DFT methodology a plus
