Motion Control Engineering, Inc. (MCE) is the leader in design, manufacturing, sales and service of state-of-the-art elevator and escalator systems in North America.  MCE's markets consist of new construction and modernizations business.  MCE employs a wide range of Sales, Engineering and Technical resources throughout the world.  MCE's headquarters are in Rancho Cordova, CA. with a major satellite office for sales, engineering and field service in Glendale, NY.

 

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Will assist Regional Sales Manager and coordinate daily responsibilities and tasks. Performs complex administrative coordination task/activities, under general supervision, related to the receipt and processing of sales orders. Receives routine sales orders from customers, sales staff, contractors, or OEM’s via phone, mail or direct contact. Orders are reviewed for correct price, part numbers and descriptions per standard catalog listings. He/she ascertains related data such as ship to, bill to, and quantity.  Coordinates standard customer inquires concerning order status, ship dates, prices quotes, availability and related questions where answers are easily obtained. Operates within defined limits of discretion and initiative. Attempts to handle complex or difficult customer inquires before escalating to senior management. Assigned duties are well-established requiring excellent judgment or discretion.  M

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

Specific skills will include: the ability to allocate time properly and effectively; acquire, evaluate, interpret, and organize information; use computers (i.e., SAP) to process information; participate as a team member; exercise leadership; deploy effective negotiation techniques when interacting with clients; and demonstrate creative problem solving and decision making skills while performing the daily activities of the defined role. Knowledge of MS Office programs and Internet proficient. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Customer driven quality – Able to manage the delicate balance of quality and profitability.  Must be a team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently.
