Job Description

Star Manufacturing, Ltd is a metal stamping, precision sheet metal fabricator and powder coat facility located in South Central Texas.  Star has an excellent opportunity for an experienced salesman to expand Star’s customer base.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new accounts that fit Star’s capabilities, exposing existing customers to all of our capabilities, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, coordinating internal quoting process, providing accurate sales forecasts and coordinating with existing internal resources to close potential leads.  This position will require travel by car 4 days per week and overnight stays as required to conduct business.  Only individuals who are self starters with a positive attitude – AND THE ABILITY TO COLD CALL AND PROSPECT FOR NEW BUSINESS – need apply for this opportunity. This position reports directly to the COO/General Manager.

 

Key Attributes Desired:

·        Minimum of 3 years of direct industrial sales experience

·        Dynamic cold calling “Hunter Instinct”

·        Understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes

·        Ability to read and understand customer drawings and specifications

·        Ability to close opportunities by demonstrating Stars capabilities to customer decision makers

·        Proficient in the use of Excel, Word and Outlook

Compensation and Benefits Offered:

·        Base salary + commission (combined >$100,000/year), with commission comprising the bulk of total compensation
