Manufacturing Production Supervisor

 

Liquid Container L.P. (www.liquidcontainer.com) is a growth oriented national multi-plant manufacturer of custom and stock plastic containers and we have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a 12 hour off-shift Production Supervisor in our Memphis, TN facility.

 

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising hourly employees engaged in all phases of the production operation.  These duties include safety, quality, service, housekeeping, training, productivity, labor utilization, warehousing and control of raw materials.  Specific responsibilities of the position include; participating in job safety training to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, complying with and enforcing all issues that occur on the shift and providing functional guidance to shift operations and quality personnel.  In addition, the Production Supervisor assists the Production Manager in reviewing shift operations and making recommendations relative to changes in organization, personnel, equipment and procedures.

 

The ideal candidate should have at least two years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment with a familiarity to assign and direct work of others.  The candidate must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be detail oriented, and have strong computer skills in Word, Excel or comparable programs.  A Bachelors Degree in Business, Operations Management or equivalent program is preferred.
