PRODUCT MANAGER - TRACHEOSTOMY
The successful candidate will assume responsibility for establishing and implementing a strategic marketing plan for an established product line, as well as emerging domestic and global product areas.
Specifically, this Product Manager:
• Provides assistance to director, senior and marketing managers with development and implementation of marketing strategies and plans to ensure appropriate marketing mix and revenue for assigned product lines:
o Provides assistance and support with implementing launch plans.
o Works with marketing team to facilitate development of promotional programs.
o Participates in product teams to resolve product/manufacturing issues, ensure customer needs are translated into product features and that customer requirements are met.
o Works with marketing team to determine necessity for and facilitates market research process on issues such as competitive position, customer requirements and pricing.
• Executes tactical marketing plans for assigned product lines:
o Develops and reviews sales forecasts and production planning.
o Provides support to R&D for product maintenance.
o Identifies and introduces new products and features within assigned product line.
• Implements plans and procedures to support and assist the sales force in promoting product sales and resolving customer issues:
o Acts as resource to sales representatives and provides assistance with customer visits.
o Facilitates development of sales programs and tools and provides recommendations for effective use.
o Provides support for industry conventions and sales meetings.
o Ensures effective training of the sales force on new and existing products and product enhancements.
• Gathers and analyzes data on competitors' products to assist in the development and presentation of marketing strategies for new and existing products.
• Evaluates market trends, competition and historical data to develop sales forecasts and models for new and existing products consistent with profit marketing targets.
• Other duties as assigned and/or contained in annual goals and objectives.
Qualifications include:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing or related area, 3+ years of professional marketing experience, preferably in the biomedical and/or medical device industry, and/or an MBA in marketing and 1+ years of professional marketing experience, preferably in the medical device/biomedical industry.
• Knowledge of marketing principles and techniques, including market research, product positioning and differentiation, value propositions, and marketing programs.
• Knowledge of medical device industry and/or domestic and international medical markets.
• The abilities to:
o Develop and execute plans for assigned product lines.
o Evaluate impact of competitors' strategies and programs, as well as changes in product lines.
o Develop sales forecasts and models based on assessment of competition, market trends and historical data.
o Develop and deliver product training programs to sales force.
o Participate effectively with project teams.
o Work effectively with multiple departments.
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures and applicable regulations.
