The position is responsible for the development of production schedules for Manufacturing and Procurement and the assembly of products to meet customer delivery dates and/or inventory levels that meet corporate goals.  This position reports to the Materials Manager.  Responsibilities:   Plan, schedule, coordinate and/or monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle.  May determine material requirements from engineering and production schedules while coordinating the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering.  May work with Engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements while coordinating production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedule.  Reviews and corrects bills of material and routings as necessary. Monitors and maintains order parameters in MRP. Schedules and/or interfaces with marketing, sales, production and engineering managers.  Works to resolve (in case of design changes) labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.  Monitor Production Schedules, Raw Material, WIP and Finished Goods for financial tracking purposes and in support of company goals. Oversee secondary level scheduling and material procurement activities to ensure financial control policy adherence. Requirements:   7 + years of progressive experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business, or Production Management preferred. Expert knowledge and understanding of theories of MRP, JIT, Kanban and Lean Manufacturing. Pentair is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
