PROJECT ENGINEER - PROCESS CONTROL - AUTOMATION

FACTS- Inc., a successful integrator of process control solutions for the plastics and rubber extrusion industries is seeking an experienced Project Engineer with responsibility for the coordination and engineering of a variety of projects for customer applications. 

 

Duties include the following:  Work with Sales Engineers to assess customer needs and determine functional requirements; design control systems in an efficient and cost effective manner and prepare necessary documentation  Liaison with customer and internal staff to communicate project status, timelines and proactively identify and resolve issues to customer satisfaction.  Monitor the project implementation through production, installation and start-up to ensure the end product satisfies customer’s requirements.  Hands-on involvement through the project cycle.  Provide support and guidance to staff members.  Establish processes in support of continuous improvements. 

 

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelors of Science in Electronic, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, five years + hands on experience in assembly, test and design of electro-mechanical controls hardware (PLC programming experience and motor drive experience a plus) and ability to generate, read and interpret electronic, electrical and mechanical schematic detail and assembly drawings.

 

Additional qualifications include: Strong project management and demonstrated leadership skills, detail oriented with good planning, organizational and time management skills, computer skills including proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of PCs and peripheral equipment. Must have excellent communications (verbal, written, presentation) and problem solving skills with the ability to assess customer needs and interact with a variety of individuals within the organization (engineering, production, etc.).  Must be team and customer service oriented.  This position requires some travel to both domestic and international locations.
