PURCHASING COORDINATOR

RIVIANA FOODS INC., a Houston based major food processor is accepting applications for a PURCHASING COORDINATOR near downtown Houston.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide  clerical and analytical support to manager and buyers regarding contracts, purchase orders, vendor inventory, packaging material activity and related reports.

Troubleshoot and resolve purchase order receipt problems and variances.

Manage and reconcile vendor warehouse inventories through comparison of SAP vendor inventories and actual vendor inventory reports.

Maintain reports and resolve returns issues where appropriate.

Record receipt of packaging supplies and ingredients.

Research and resolve vendor inquiries into unpaid invoices.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

4-year degree a must

2-4 years experience in accounting/business or inventory/production

Some buying experience preferred

Advanced Excel experience

Database and SAP experience preferred

Good communication skills

Must be a team player
