Its leading automotive care and braking products include FRAM oil, air, transmission and fuel filters; Autolite spark plugs, ignition wire sets and lights; Prestone antifreeze and car care products; Holts car care.  Blink interior car wipes is the latest product offering and is available from major mass retail, drug and grocery stores.  Honeywell CPG maintains R&D capabilities in both the U.S., Europe, and Asia has a manufacturing footprint in ten countries worldwide. We are looking for a Packaging Engineer for our Perrysburg, Ohio, location. Responsibilities include: Design, develop, specify, and commercialize packaging components and packaging processes for automotive aftermarket and original equipment products. Identify, develop and initiate cost reduction projects and cost avoidance opportunities that include packaging redesign initiatives, package component consolidation, and production line efficiencies. Conduct product industrialization/application development initiatives that include packaging line trials, distribution testing, and package performance testing for new and existing products. Develop and maintain the packaging program that includes packaging specifications, pallet configurations, packaging procedures, and packaging processes. Provide technical packaging support for multiple manufacturing locations. Specify the packaging portion of Bills of Material. Other duties as assigned by manager or team leader. Some travel to plants, distribution centers, and packaging suppliers may be required.  Bachelors Degree in Packaging Engineering discipline required. Two to five years of experience in the packaging field is preferred. Strong technical knowledge of folding carton and corrugated packaging materials.  Ability to effectively communicate ideas, concepts and procedures to all levels within the organization from the factory floor to senior management.  Ability to set priorities and multi-task in a fast paced environment.  Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of various cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Strong mechanical aptitude. Strong Project Management skills required managing multiple projects. Experience with Microsoft Project is preferred. Computer literacy in MS Office, AutoCAD, Cape/TOPS is required. Basic knowledge of process control statistic College graduates with relevant internship/co-op experience will be considered.
