Job Title: Lab Technician 







GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

 Quality Control of inks and varnishes including issuing of raw materials used in production Color matching Troubleshooting existing products after field failures Formulation of new products or revision of existing products based on competitor’s samples Enter formulas into computer system Effective communication with customers, suppliers & Handschy co-workers related to their daily work…verbally, by phone, and thru e-mail. Evaluation of new raw materials Technical Service at customer’s location, if needed In-plant fill in for vacation

Specific Knowledge/Skills Required

(i.e. Previous supervisory experience, Knowledge of US tax laws, etc.)

 PC experience Good color eye (pass color tests) Good organizational & communication skills Ability to multi-task

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

 Lab environment, similar to office.

 Fast paced environment with frequent changes in work priorities to meet changing customer deadlines Long periods of standing required Weekend overtime required, with occasional shift work
