Payroll/Benefits Analyst

Location: 13172 Elizabeth Street, CO 80403 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Human Resources Education Level: High School or equivalent Payroll/Benefits Analyst At CoorsTek, we change our world by providing industry with break-through solutions for an amazing variety of engineered parts and integrated systems made from ceramics, metals and plastics.  Currently we are seeking a full-time Payroll/Benefits Analyst located in Golden, Colorado. Job Responsibilities:·  Computes wages for assigned facility employees and calculates each worker’s earnings according to company policy, federal and state regulations.·  Posts calculated data in automated payroll system, informs assigned reviewer that report is prepared for review to ensure accuracy, prepare and issue checks·  Provides payroll guidance to outlying locations·  Prepare, reconcile and process garnishment payment to applicable agency, as assigned.·  Prepare documents for financial institutions for employment verifications·  Compiles and prepares other payroll data, such as direct deposits·  Interprets company policies and government regulations affecting payroll and benefits·  Prepares payroll reports, including periodic reports of earnings, taxes and deductions·  Possesses or gain a knowledge and understanding of FMLA rules and regulations·  Clarifies and interprets company guidelines ·  May research, analyze and integrate data to provide information on benefit programs and utilization.·  Answers, explains and interprets all  aspects of company insurance programs to employees and dependents·  Corresponds with health or welfare vendor on employee claims and matter to bring resolution to employee claims or questions.·  Holds all pay or benefits information in strict confident and complies with all aspects of HIPAA·  Documents and updates payroll and benefit procedures·  Requires more in-depth knowledge of benefit programs, company policies, and administrative procedures·  May make presentations explaining the purpose and goals of benefit programs and seeks compliance and understanding of benefit programs and policies·  Assures that programs are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures·  Analyzes and provides advice to supervisors and managers on methods and approaches to resolve employee benefit problems·  Challenged to develop and propose improvement to policies, programs, and procedures to improve the effectiveness of benefitsRequirements: May require an associate degree in accounting, business or related field and 3 years previous payroll/benefits experience, or 5 years payroll/benefits experience.  Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.  Experience in Kronos and PeopleSoft a plus. To be considered, please apply on our website at www.coorstek.com, click on the careers link and submit your resume to Req #12944.
