Every location offers an environment that values each of its employees! Job Description: The Payroll Manager manages Ralcorp's Corporate Payroll Department with responsibility for payroll preparation and transmission to Ceridian mainframe system. Responsible for payroll tax function. Main point of contact for field payroll support. Job duties include:Manages and controls the processing of payroll jobs for weekly, semi-monthly and monthly payrolls. Ensures payroll conformance to Company standards, labor agreements, generally accepted accounting principles and tax regulations. Responsible for oversight of daily data entry within Ceridian HR/PR for all locations. Assist staff in preparing, transmitting, receiving, and translating of HR, benefit and payroll data from the Ceridian host to the Ralcorp data server. Provide direction to payroll staff in maintaining payroll data and information integrity, efficient day-to-day operation and production schedules. Also responsible for performance management and development of four direct reports. Two direct reports in payroll are. Manage payroll tax function to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory reporting requirements. Ensures that quarterly multi-state and federal tax filings, annual reporting, and W2s are completed on a timely basis. Two direct reports in payroll tax area. Processes special payments to include incentive and severance payouts. Audits payroll entries processed by direct reports. Responsible for resolving the Ceridian exception reports for all business units and corporate division. Recommends changes to and assists in the development and implementation of procedures to optimize business processes.Job Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or equivalent training and experience required. CPP preferred. 5 - 7 years of full-cycle payroll preparation and processing experience required. 3 - 5 Supervisory experience preferred. Ceridian HR/PR or ADP experience strongly preferred. Superior analytical skills, planning/organization skills and high attention to detail required. Problem-solving abilities required.
