Learn more about Husqvarna at: http://www.usa.husqvarna.com  Principal Role:Directly manages the planning and inventory control of all U.S. and Canadian whole goods, spare parts and accessories in assigned areas of product responsibility. Essential Duties:· Effectively manage product fill rates working closely with Customer Service to ensure   highest levels of compliance and minimum backorders.· Effectively manage product inventory to achieve highest return on working capital, while minimizing shipping and handling costs.·  Routinely interface with Business Unit and Product Managers to ensure proper product availability at all times.· Work closely with suppliers to ensure consistent performance and maximum cost benefit.·  Stay abreast of technology and engage in applicable technical training and professional development programs.· Maximize the effectiveness of the automated material replenishment system (RAPS) through ongoing monitoring and adjustment of controllable parameters.·Maintain data accuracy in REX for all areas of responsibility. ·Routinely monitor open backorder report, adjusting warehouse inventories as necessary to achieve high fill rates and to avoid unnecessary product replenishments.·Perform related duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications: Education & Training: o Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Materials Management preferred and/or 5-7 years related experience; APICS/NAPM certification considered a plus.Business experience: In-depth knowledge of purchasing practices, sourcing and inventory management desired; Effective negotiation, decision making and communications skills; Strong systems ability – including knowledge of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) / AS400, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and other related software. Other:Aptitude to quickly master proprietary software skills; Responsibilities are those of a professional level requiring a high level of autonomy and independent discretion. To apply for this position click on this link:  http://tbe.taleo.net/NA2/ats/careers/requisition.jsp?org=HUSQVARNA&cws=1&rid=104
