Planner - Plate Material Flow

ArcelorMittal USA has openings for experienced professionals in its Planning, Scheduling, Logistics & Outside Processing Division at its facility in Burns Harbor, Indiana.  We are seeking a professional with proven ability and experience. 

Job Description: Manage facility loading of 3 mills and 2 heat treat lines. Communicate with operating and commercial departments to optimize customer service and material flow through the facilities. Assist in daily management of clerical personnel in the plate scheduling and expediting units.Report daily issues that can affect customer service.Office located in the BH Plate Mill office.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

Educational requirements: Four-year college degree or advanced industry-specific experience.

Experience requirements: 3+ years of steel manufacturing experience, preferred plate operations.  Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Word.  Computer programming knowledge a plus.The ideal candidate will have experience in facility loading techniques and have a good understanding of the plate production process.
