Planning Manager

Brasstech, a division of the Fortune 500 Masco Corporation, is a leading manufacturer of high end brass plumbing products. We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Planning Manager. 

 

This person is responsible for planning, scheduling, and expediting all production processes/products in the company.

 

Essential Functions:

 Creation of schedules to achieve production goals and meet customer delivery requirements.Ensure planners schedule accurately.Work with other departments to handle special custom orders, specific clients, or resolve unique circumstances.Monitor and control production requirements.Expedite the movement of products and materials.Develop, implement and monitor production plans.Maintain data accuracy in the manufacturing system.Implement and support JIT/Lean production lines.Plan and implement goals and objectives.



The ideal candidate must have:

 Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Management.5-10 years experience in medium and low volume production of component and/or subsystem products.3-5 years supervision experience.Direct working experience with a computer based MRP software program.Effective leadership, motivation, and supervisory skills.Ability to set objectives and manage projects.Broad knowledge of total manufacturing processes and planning.A self starter and independent worker.  A wide degree of latitude will be given and it is expected that performance will meet set objectives.Must have current CPIM designation.Experience in JIT or Lean environments is a plus.
