Position Summary:
Role is responsible for all engineering and maintenance functions in the plant to include personnel, planning, budget, and execution. Responsible to manage a multi-million dollar capital budget. Plans and executes projects which utilize experience, and participates on teams as a technical resource. Provides support to the plant to ensure that safety, quality, production, and cost goals are met. Provides appropriate training to personnel to ensure that the necessary skills are developed to meet new technology. Reinforces the use of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) tools (i.e. Lean Mfg, Autonomous Maintenance, Focused Improvement, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, FEE, etc…) to deliver measurable improvements and build the WCM culture and expertise within the plant.


Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in a technical, engineering or related field.
Seven plus years of successful experience in engineering in a manufacturing environment with increasing levels of responsibility.
Expertise in project management
Demonstrated ability to lead/manage other professionals/engineers and teams.
Leadership and development of plant maintenance personnel and functions.
Ability to develop equipment systems designs including: equipment layout drawings, determination of relative machine speeds, accumulation / buffer sizing, conveyor speed selection, bottle handling systems, case handling systems, palletizing equipment, line automated control functionality descriptions.
Manage planning, analysis, submission, approval and execution of expense / capital projects including: cost, schedule, quality, start-up / commissioning and training elements.
Understands basic procurement practices and working with vendors and contractors. Prepare and administer equipment purchases and installation and construction contracts.
Capability to perform systemic root cause analysis and problem resolution.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work based on business need and available resources.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with operating and capital budget development and management.
Basic computer skills; e.g. Excel, Access, Power Point, word processing, etc.
Ability to work multiple shifts as required.


Desired Qualifications:
Hands on skills related to packaging, molding, and/or process equipment
Experience with SAP
PLC skills
World Class Manufacturing (lean mfg.) skills such as; Front End Engineering, Autonomous maintenance, Focused improvements, Kaizen, TPM, 5S, etc.
