Plant Manager / Operations Manager

Southeastern U.S. Rotational Molding Organization seeks a “hands on”, experienced Plant Manager / Operations Manager.  The ideal candidate will have 5 – 10 years of direct Rotational Molding experience in a manufacturing setting. 

Skills Required:

·  Ability to read prints / interpret CAD data

·  Materials selection to achieve design requirements

·  Knowledge of mold design

·  Knowledge of rotation molding equipment and process management

·  Familiar with Quality systems and methods including QS and TS standards

·  Familiar with MRP systems

·  Interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

·  Computer skills (MS office, etc.)

 

Duties:

·  Work with Customers to develop tooling, select materials and processes appropriate to achieving desired product design / performance

·  Review Customer delivery requirements and develop an operating plan (materials, equipment, human needs) to achieve Customer delivery requirements on time

·  Ensure that  Customer quality requirements are met

·  Use MRP system to ensure appropriate raw materials inventories to achieve operating pan / customer  delivery requirements

·  Uses preventive maintenance methods to ensure equipment / tooling up time

·  Uses Continuous Improvement techniques to enhance product quality and manage cost

·  Uses and contributes to corporate procedures and policies.

·  P & L accountability

 

Education / Experience:

5 to 10 years rotational molding manufacturing experience including tooling, material selection, process development and work methods

Graduate Degree helpful but not required if practical experience is appropriate.
