The Quality Manager is responsible for leading key initiatives to improve both product and process quality within the Athens manufacturing facility. This position is also one of the primary links between the sales, engineering, field service and manufacturing communities. Quality improvement is the number one objective for NA Truck/Trailer and Bus. Testing and control of raw materials and finished product quality, ensuring compliance with company standards and applicable government regulations. Responsibilities will generally focus on product integrity and quality control. Complete responsibility for entire systems, projects, programs or operational unit across or within functional areas. Accountable for budget, staffing, and/or business/operational results. Directly manages individual contributors and may manage supervisors or group leaders.

Bachelors Degree in a Business related field required

Experience and Knowledge of managing and upgrading ISO 9000 and/or TS16949 Quality systems. Experience with supplier quality management and supplier development. Candidate should have experience with the following: Strong problem solving experience, statistical methods including Six Sigma and/or Shainin RedX Continuous Improvement methods, Kaizen, Lean manufacturing including Lean Flow and Value Stream Mapping. The candidate will also have the ability to analyze data and develop professional presentations for management.

Candidate should have a minimum of 7 years experience in a manufacturing/automotive environment in a management capacity. In addition, the candidate should have a high energy level with solid team leadership skills and be comfortable communicating with diverse groups. The qualified candiate should be a change agent/motivator with a passion for quality & people.
