PLANT SALES MANAGER

The Plant Sales Manager develops sales plan for assigned location/products and is responsible for the achievement of the plants overall sales goals in alignment with the Operations Marketing strategy.Experience in manufacturing required.


Position Responsibilities
1. Develops plant sales plan aligned with Corporate Marketing’s strategy and is responsible for achieving sales goals.

2. Coordinates forecasting/AOP and SIOP development with plant & SIOP team.

3. Acts as the plant advocate. Is the VOP (voice of the plant) to sales and customers and VOC (voice of the customer) and sales to the plant.

4. Coordinates and hosts customer visits to the assigned operation.

5. Point of contact for customer contract reviews.

6. Monitors key customers’ service level metrics.

7. Promotes the operation’s capabilities and capacities, leveraging the approved initiatives & guidelines.

8. Performs special studies and analysis as required or assigned towards supporting overall company business strategies.

9. Monitor pricing trends, quote hit rates and market opportunities for the plant and product lines manufactured at the respective plant.

10.  Participates in the analysis of information provided by Marketing and Operations for product transition – make versus buy.

11.  Manages product life cycle by identifying strategies for growing, harvesting or exiting product lines within the respective operation, in line with central strategy.

12.  Provides operations connectivity to Sales, Applications Engineering and Product Marketing. Take day-to-day guidance from the Plant Operations Manager to support objectives above. Actively engaged with the Central product marketing group to ensure alignment of goals and consistency of analytical tools
