The Portfolio Manager, Ergonomic Handling will report directly into the Category Manager, Ergonomic Handling. This position will manage a $22MM revenue portfolio of the Material Handling business. The position requires a strong product marketer with a proven track record of creatively and profitably growing product lines/segments through the use of disciplined portfolio and innovation management processes. With the Category Manager, the incumbent will define the go forward strategy for the portfolio defining plans for internal investment in NPD and Innovation, opportunities for acquisitions and right sizing the portfolio to optimize profitable growth globally.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support the development of innovative marketing strategies to achieve dramatic, profitable global growth. Become the internal champion and product expert of the portfolio. Execute the product line review process to ensure that gaps in the portfolio are understood and plans are developed to address the gaps. Manage the portfolio and its products throughout the product lifecycle. Develop and execute rationalization strategies to lean out and de-complex the portfolio. Define opportunities for VAVE & localization and coordinate efforts with appropriate functional leads to execute. With the Category Manager, execute the 6 Step Value Innovation process to ensure that our customers voice is properly represented in our investment and growth strategies for the portfolio using the Outcome Driven Innovation process as well as traditional VOC methods. Work closely with the regional sales and marketing teams to ensure that their needs are understood and clearly represented in the Portfolio strategy. Define current market segments and the value that we offer customers in those segments, identify new segments to help drive profitable growth and identify markets that we should exit. Define the competitive landscape and develop Streetfighter data to articulate the portfolio value propositions. Develop product literature and training collateral and List Pricing strategy. Develop and present New Business Opportunities, participate in monthly phase gate reviews to drive consistency in the NPD process and monthly Quality & Reliability reviews to ensure that our products continue to meet and exceed our customers expectations. Define portfolio quality and reliability expectations.

•A track record of delivering outstanding tangible results in a high performance environment.
•Travel up to 30%
