Pre-Production Mac Operator

Applied Image is a large format digital imaging and environmental graphics manufacturer. We utilize state of the art printing processes to produce the country’s finest retail, museum and exhibit graphics. We are a growing company looking for an additional team member.

We are currently seeking a Pre-Production Mac Operator.  Utilizing a variety of graphics software packages, this operator prepares digital files for large format print and CNC output. Working with Sales and Project Management, the position contributes heavily to the process of transitioning a project from design to fabrication and installation, including creating detailed installation instructions and layouts. The Mac Operator also operates and maintains our drum, flatbed, and large format scanners and is able to color correct and adjust output to exacting client specifications. The ideal candidate will also be able to troubleshoot, design and develop production solutions with attention towards process and materials, while assuring the highest quality of finished product. We encourage our Pre-Production employees to develop a knowledge of ongoing technical advancements in the field of digital graphic design and production.



To qualify as a candidate for this position you must possess excellent operating skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Quark. The candidate must be proficient with MAC OS X and Windows, and be able to maintain our Server File System, Daily Backup, and Digital Archive.  This is a prepress/pre-production position that requires excellent analytical skills, strong graphic sensibilities, complete knowledge of color correction and color management, and attention to precise detail in a fast-paced environment. The ability to effectively communicate with our production and sales staff is essential.
