Key Performance Areas:

Reporting to the Director of Marketing Services, the Pricing Specialist is responsible for the administration of all pricing within North America.  The position’s responsibilities include data analysis and management to provide standard product pricing. This analysis is required to insure pricing policy is consistent with global guidelines as well as Market competitiveness. The incumbent is the key contact for developing and printing yearly price lists. The position interfaces with product management to insure proper price positioning for strategic product categories. The position manages contract pricing for both special and standard product ranges. The position has a key influence on the organization’s profitability.

 

Specific Responsibilities Include:

· Manage Data to support yearly price list development and production.

· Develop reports to control and communicate customer profitability in the region.

· Monitor competitive price developments – both net and gross – in the market.

· Insure pricing policy supports strategic market positioning.

· Measure effects of pricing policy and level changes

· Support the development and implementation of global group agreements. Coordinate feedback between the markets.

· Coordinate strategic marketing requirements: Association reporting/I planning, 5 year planning Marketing plan, Sales statistics.

· Identify needs, organize, plan and implement local promotions

 

Your Profile:

Ideal candidate will preferably possess a Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, or related field. Excellent computer proficiency in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets and work experience with product marketing within a manufacturing company is preferred. High attention to detail, the ability to work with large data volumes and complex business scenarios, and interpersonal and group communication skills required. Ability to effectively use these skills in negotiations is a must. Second language – particularly German or Spanish, a plus
