Principle Product Development Engineer - Electrical/Biomedical

JOB SUMMARY:

New product design and development with emphasis on disposables, RF cutting/ablation devices or related similar surgical applications.  Product changes and enhancements consistent with zero defect level and low product cost.  Solve multidisciplinary engineering problems at the component thru system level.  Maintain QSR systems, including pre-production quality assurance procedures, pre-clinical testing programs, and post production QSR compliance in coordination with Document Control, Clinical and Quality Assurance functions.  Lead company to design and develop innovative medical devices or components/subsystems in support of company’s strategic plan.

 

BACKGROUND REQUIRED:Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree such as physicist, bio-medical or EE with medical field10+ years relevant engineering experience in product development3+ years RF experienceDesign verification and troubleshootingFamiliar with devices and circuitry used to perform electrosurgery or similarFamiliar with physiological challenges and responses to electrosurgery or similarUnderstand the physics of plasma, spark erosion and safety at the device/tissue interface and related circuitryHands-on bench experimentationUnderstand electronic measurement systems (digital, analog, data acquisition and analysis)
