Pro-E Designer (3 openings)

3 openings for Mechanical Designers with strong Pro/Wildfire experience.



Responsibilities:

1. Conceptualize, design and draft tooling & fixturing (for complex weapon systems) drawings ready for fabrication by suppliers.

2. Emphasize safety and quality in the designs, with a focus on lean manufacturing initiatives.

3. Perform liaison with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production as required.

4. Review and check tooling & fixturing designs, as required, to ensure conformance to specifications, original intent, proper methods and procedures.

5. Assist tooling suppliers as needed during fabrication of the tooling, including resolution of product assurance issues.

6. Resolve tooling/tool design problems in a timely manner using strong manufacturing skills.

7. Assist in formulating tool design policies, procedures, and specifications as required.

Experience Requirements: 1. Minimum five years of tooling & fixturing design experience

 2. Minimum of two (2) years Pro-E Wildfire experience required

3. Experienced in GD&T per ASME Y14.5

4. Must be a US Citizen

Skills Needed: 1. Strong Design, Drafting, Math, and Technical Writing skills.

 2. Analysis skills to verify design meets loading requirements. 3. Demonstrated knowledge of materials, material strengths and uses 4. Demonstrated Knowledge of standard tooling catalog items 5. Good verbal and written communication skills. 6. Able to work within a multi-discipline team and be a self starter.  

*These are 6 months+ positions.
