Process Chemist

A specialty chemical company located in West Deptford, NJ is looking for a Process Chemist.  This position is responsible for preparing a diverse range of chemical and catalyst products at the bench and pilot plant scale to fill small volume customer orders. This includes new and/or non-routine products that require the incumbent to apply technical knowledge and skill to troubleshoot, optimize, and implement methods to achieve consistent product quality and yield. This position also participates in process development, scale-up, and troubleshooting activities in support of the large scale manufacturing plant. The incumbent will be responsible for screening and packaging Ruthenium sponge. The incumbent must be flexible and proficient at multi-tasking in order to carry on multiple projects, including the scheduling and production of customer orders to meet on-time delivery requirements. The position interacts with sales, development, and plant operations personnel. Knowledge of organic and inorganic PGM chemistry, handling of air-sensitive materials, and analytical and instrumental evaluation techniques is helpful.

Requirements:
BS in Chemistry
Knowledge of PGM chemistry helpful
Experience in small scale lab or pilot plant work desirable
