Process Coordinator

Position Summary :

The Process Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to provide technical leadership and professional consultation to all departments to enhance and optimize product quality, production and equipment performance.



Responsibilities:



Actively participate in the team based safety program at the plant.

Design and implement process enhancements to improve product quality, to increase equipment performance and to minimize plant costs.

Assist the Plant departments in achieving plant objectives through process trouble shooting, eliminating bottlenecks, and providing daily performance monitoring.

Able to understand a wide range of mechanical and electrical technologies and equipment.

Evaluate operations, processes and trends through use of audits and systematic approaches, process control charts, shift way, probability, hypothesis test, regression and multiple correlation analysis to identify significance and impact of process variables in specific systems.

Coordinates and performs regular audits of the major plant systems (kiln, raw and finish mills, cooler). Utilize personal and Lafarge technical knowledge to identify improvement opportunities.

Design, plan, and execute required process trials and studies. Generate formal reports with firm recommendations / conclusions.

Assists in establishing technical specifications and targets and monitors the results of plant KPI’s.

Maintains accurate and up to date information on plant performance (PPW, PIR, etc.)

Manage ball charges for mills and chain systems by creating designs and coordinating maintenance efforts and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS 

Educational Background :

BS degree in Engineering of a relevant field

Experience :

Completion of Cement Professional Program and/or minimum of two years’ experience in a cement manufacturing facility (Process, Production, Maintenance, and/or Quality) or similar industrial experience

Ability to apply basic engineering principles of thermodynamics, heat transfer, mass flow and mechanical engineering.

Ability to work with all levels at the plant as well as with regional management and technical centers

Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver solution

Solid communication skills

Achievement oriented, strong work ethic, perseverance, attention to detail

Works well with other people of diversities and backgrounds. Able to persuade and motivate others

High level of competence with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access)
