Provide technical and production oriented engineering support to the molding and assembly areas.  Responsibilities include process control and discipline implementation, monitoring production performance, troubleshooting of production processes and equipment, addressing quality issues and corrective actions and process development.  Responsible for meeting quality, yield and uptime goals of Molding department.

 

Projects involved with:

• Determine, document and ensure control of optimal process setpoints and procedures for Molding processes.

• Reduce variation in machine performance through engineering improvements and use of standard operating procedures and setpoints.

• Maintain process documentation so it is current, complete, usable and orderly.

• Ensure process audits are performed regularly.

• Drive to fundamental understanding of processes, root cause of problems, and permanent fixes.

• Process development on new products as they move into production; successful completion of validation process.

• Process troubleshooting on existing products.

• Support Process Control and Discipline efforts to achieve standardization.

• Use statistical methods for product and process analysis.

• Implement cost reduction programs.

• Implement corrective actions related to customer complaints and product defects, to address root cause.
