PURPOSE: Responsible for process support, New Product Introduction, and sustaining engineering within the systems integration area of the production operation. Establishes manufacturing processes and documentation, improves manufacturing techniques, and introduces new process equipment to production. Interfaces with product design and product engineering to ensure that processes and designs are compatible and support the DFT philosophy. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES / DUTIES: • Development and introduction of new processes as applicable to system integration. • Improve Manufacturing Efficiency through Lean Manufacturing Implementation using Pull Systems, Kanbans, and Replenishment Plan. • Lead New Product Introductions for new and existing customers. • Manage product life cycle as it applies to Process Engineering. • Participate in corporate strategic initiatives as applicable. • Responsibility for technical documentation (MPI’s, TPI’s, etc.). • Identify and implement quality improvement initiatives. • Work with Customer personnel as technical contact, resolve issues. Etc. • Provide technical direction and assistance to other support personnel. • Cost reduction activities. • Scope wide variety of manufacturing related projects and ensure completion within targeted guidelines. • Manufacturing capacity reporting. • Implementation of Flex Best Practices and Benchmarking. • Spec equipment, provide line layouts, and assist with setup. • Minimum 4-yr Engineering Degree and 5 yrs experience in a manufacturing environment required. • Hands-on experience working a production/manufacturing environment. • Possess excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal and customer-oriented skills. • Production setup and process flow implementation. • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools • Previous exposure to Lean Manufacturing techniques and tools a plus. • Six Sigma methodology a plus.
