Product Engineer - Automotive Stamping

Our Client is seeking a Product Engineer with Tier 1 automotive experience. This individual will be responsible for conducting all relevant aspects of new or existing product development opportunities within the assigned product unit.  These activities will include overseeing the testing, materials research, new vendor relations and any significant process development. Additional Duties and Responsibilities include: Performs preliminary cost matrix for any new product concepts or current product modifications within product unit. Assists sales group in penetrating new applications and customers. Assists operations in developing improved processes. Visits annual symposiums for latest market trends in technology or scientific development Aggressively optimizes current product lines through material research, and process optimization (jointly with manufacturing). Develops next-generation concepts as defined by management. Works with program engineers and sales to develop any new OEM specification needed to qualify new products and penetrate given market Manages all new Product Release Package (PRP) input within the assigned product unit,  as well as develop all relevant engineering documentation (DVPR / FMEA) Coordinates transition of new approved products from R&D into Product Engineering, or throughout the group as needed.  Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering 3-5 years in Research & Development with new products and technologies Metal forming, Metal Stamping experience required Metallurgy experience desired Automotive experience required If you are qualified and interested in this opportunity please forward a copy of your Resume in Word format. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
