Product Manager - Tooling Industry

THE COMPANY:  We represent a Massachusetts based manufacturer and distributor of tooling products searching to indentify and recruit a talented Product Manager for it’s expanded corporate marketing group.  This leading company has grown through brand acquisition and by extending its high quality, value-added tooling product line, which includes cutting and workholding tools.

 

THE POSITION: As a key marketing professional you will apply your knowledge and expertise to create, develop, and market an extended product line of products for OEM and other channels of distribution.  In this highly visible role, your expertise in tooling will be relied upon for product development and for customer inquiries regarding product applications and other technical support issues.  You will perform market research, marketing and trend analysis, and track product sales performance.  You will develop marketing strategies and budgets to support product lines and sales programs.  Partnerships with marketing team members will be fostered to ensure that brand awareness, sales promotions, advertising and marketing support goals are met.

 

THE CANDIDATE: A technical degree or a BS/BA in Marketing is desired along with 4+ years of progressive experience in a tooling manufacturing or distribution organization.  Must be experienced in partnering with marketing, sales, and customer accounts to enhance product expertise and sales programs.  Familiarity with CAD and technical drawing would be a plus.  Excellent communications skills are a must along with proficiency in using Microsoft office products and customer contact management software.
