Product Marketing Mgr - Devices/Frames Provide marketing leadership for customer focused product development on a worldwide level. Drive the definition and business opportunity/investment analysis of high impact consumer digital imaging products for worldwide markets, assisting in the development of the product line strategy. Drive successful tradeoffs that affect cost, schedule, users, and product performance throughout the product life cycle. Key Responsibilities: Future Product Marketing lead on commercialization programs for consumer digital imaging products. Focus on fuzzy front end, defining product requirements and strategy for future products. Shepherd products through shipping and performance in the marketplace. Build learning into future product generations. Assist in defining platforms, and defines specific product feature needs. Ensure alignment of feature requirements with R&D capabilities and optimize trade-off decisions. Represent customer needs in the product development team. Develop a deep customer understanding of the product category and segments of the market. Develop product and business opportunity and investment analysis that provides clear go/no-go decision criteria, including understanding R&D and service and support budgeting strategies and plans. Maintain current knowledge of the competitive product set in the category and project competitive moves for the coming 10 year horizon. Ensure that all marketing deliverables for product development and launch are completed to a quality standard and on time. Balance regional needs to deliver an optimized worldwide solution. Support program team partners to ensure a successful product launch. Responsible for product positioning and partnering with outbound marketing team to ensure that messaging and execution is aligned with that product positioning. Responsible for the effective and efficient transition of product management responsibility to Current Product Marketing Managers after launch is completed Make recommendations for innovative solutions to improve our near-term and long-term competitive positions. Identify opportunities for differentiation and category leadership. Leads product category reviews with regional sales and marketing teams in order to gain effective buy-in and active positive engagement in operationalizing the product plans. Skills Required: Minimum of 5-7 years of product marketing experience with consumer electronics, including voice of the customer research and application, product positioning, product experience and requirement definition, product strategy, and product launch experience. Passion for digital imaging and sharing. MBA required. Strong financial analysis skills required. Expertise and experience in evaluating technology. Technical background desirable. Retailer experience highly desirable. Ability to provide leadership under ambiguity. Ability to prioritize based on business impact criteria. Ability to analyze and guide sound business decisions based on research data and other input. Outstanding presentation skills and the ability to generate enthusiasm and command respect among peers and the management staff. Ability to travel extensively. Strong interpersonal, communications and team relationship skills. Strong problem solving skills and decision-making skills, ability to achieve objectives with minimal supervision. Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. Proactive and self-motivated, dedicated with a desire to learn.
