Product Support Coordinator

Product Support Coordinator

 

 Position Summary:

 

Responsible for all activities of the Material Review Board (MRB) including but not limited to: documenting MRB’s in SAP, coordinating the disposition with the responsible engineer(s), requesting credit and RMA’s from suppliers, returning material to suppliers, publishing status of open MRB’s, preparing goods for shipment and using SAP system to transfer inventory from IL to suppliers. Work with Domestic and US suppliers to ensure defective inventory is repaired and returned in a timely manner.

 

Manage the Calibration program to ensure all equipment is inspected per the manufacturing

specifications. Tasks involve reviewing access database to understand equipment that needs  calibration. Generating SAP purchase orders and sending equipment to calibration houses for inspection.

 Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

 

· Responsible for managing credits and debits associated with returning material to suppliers.

· Responsible for managing the accuracy of inventory within the MRB SAP locations.

· Responsible for accurately reflecting the PO cost for rework and retest of defective material.

· Ability to work with accounting to reconcile invoicing issues.

· Monitor and track defective material open orders. Work with suppliers to redefine and improve processes.

· Perform cycle counts on MRB physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.

· Coordinates and monitors the test device calibration program in operations.

· Coordinates the calibration requirements for the manufacturing floor to ensure timely notification, visibility and compliance with established protocols

· Generate Purchase Orders for supplies to support the manufacturing organization.

 

Minimum Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

College degree or equivalent work experience.

Excellent communication, organization and attention to detail skills.

Prior experience with ERP database applications, SAP experiences highly desirable.

Good understanding of Inventory control. Must be able to understand and reconcile

debits and credits resulting from SAP transactions.

Ability to multitask and respond effectively to inquiries. Must be well organized.

Proficiency with various software applications including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.  Access skills a plus.
