Product Volume Planner - Mobile Segment - H1756
Job Description As a Product Volume Planner (PVP) for the Mobile and Server segments, you will be the focal point to the Business Management and Manufacturing in driving demand/supply consolidation activities. This includes committing available supply, committing supply shipments to the Customer Volume Planning (CVP) team. Duties include monitoring ISO supply at the factory, and directing ISO build mix in line with demand and product strategies, analyzing CVP and customer pull requests, sourcing the CVP order plan and executing to it to ensure on-time shipments to customers, driving worldwide product management, including field inventory levels, by balancing CVP requests against Available To Commit supply from the factories on a weekly basis, driving supply issues to closure. Communicating supply/demand situations to cross-functional teams, and surfacing issues as appropriate to upper management, is a key part of the PVP role, and as such, PVP updates and publishes supply commits and BU allocations on a weekly basis. As an integral part of the Supply Chain process, PVP plays a pivotal role in managing the issues and challenges that arise with the assigned product(s). Interaction with Customer Technical Support and engineering is also expected, especially during NPO and EOL transitions. Flexibility and adaptability are key and may be asked to assist with special assignments on a temporary or permanent basis, which may involve Product Management activities. Accuracy and reliability in the data and information that a PVP generates and communicates is paramount as all functions of the company and external customers depend on it. Interaction with Production Control and Manufacturing sites in Japan, Thailand, and Singapore is necessary on a daily basis, hence flexibility in work schedule is expected as typical meetings with Asia colleagues take place in the late afternoon and evenings. Occasional travel is required to Japan, Thailand, or Singapore.Job Requirements Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations or equivalent experience. 3 years of experience preferrably in a high-tech environment or computer industry. The candidate must combine a working knowledge of Supply Chain practices, demonstrate leadership skills, strong analytical capabilities, and be a self-starter in a multi-task environment. Must be a strong communicator, and team player, be able to exert tactful influence in a matrixed organization. Additional requirements include the ability to think strategically and execute tactically with persistent attention to detail.
