Due to our growth initiatives, we have several engineering opportunities available in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan and Nova Scotia and our goal is to fill them with a diverse pool of talented Engineers who can lead these efforts.

 

We are currently looking for Production Engineers in the following locations including Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Biron, WI and Whiting, WI locations. 

 

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

The Production Engineer responsibilities are to support problem solving efforts mill-wide through planning and conducting trials directed toward productivity improvement, product development, quality improvements and cost reduction.  Production Engineers provide assistance to Production areas in evaluating changes to operation; aid operating personnel to better understand their processes and quality problems encountered.  Focus is on higher operating rates, efficiencies and de-bottlenecking.  Production Engineers complete cost reduction projects that provide significant savings through product substitution, reduced variability, improved quality, and higher operating efficiencies. 

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

▪ Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pulp and Paper Science, or a related area

▪ Two plus years of experience and results which demonstrates process troubleshooting and analytical problem solving abilities.

▪ Must have the ability to design and evaluate equipment and processes in terms of chemistry, control strategies, mechanical integrity, energy transfer, thermodynamics, mass transfer, and fluid dynamics.

▪ Examples of demonstrated leadership required.

▪ Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma (LSS), PI Process Book, SAP, computer modeling and statistics is highly desirable
