Production Manager #1063

We are currently seeking a Production Manager to develop and maintain an adequate, viable and qualified labor force to meet corporate manufacturing objectives. Manage the activities of all production areas required to support manufacturing's production schedule requirements. Duties: Under the direct supervision of Director, Manufacturing Operations: • Develop and implement training programs for all production line positions. • Establish procedures to use as measurement tools to monitor work force performance to plan. • Interface with Production Control and Quality, to assure on time availability of all parts required. • Coordinate production schedule changes to minimize impact on production schedule. • Participate in new product design review to provide production input. • Create performance appraisals for direct reports and review all resource personnel appraisals. • Prepare and monitor departmental budgets and related fiscal reports.Requirements: • Minimum five (5) years in manufacturing management, mid to upper level. • Minimum five (5) years in electro-mechanical manufacturing environment. • Five (5) to ten (10) years in effective resource management. • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal. • Extensive knowledge of Materials and Capacity Requirements Planning (MRP, CRP) required. • Working knowledge of JIT, TQM. • Basic computer knowledge word-processing, spreadsheets and databases. • Knowledge of gaming commission regulations, OSHA and EPA rules preferred. • Strong interpersonal communication skills. • BA/BS degree in Engineering preferably Industrial Engineering/Management or equivalent experience. • APICS certification preferred.
