Production Manager

Distant Lands Coffee Roaster is a rapidly growing leader in the hot beverage industry. We work with the world’s leading retailers and distributors, providing the knowledge and support to get them into the business of marketing and selling the finest coffees and teas in the world. We are currently seeking a full time Production Manager.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for managing our Production facility in Renton, Washington.  Responsibilities to include:Personnel developmentPosition trainingPushing efficienciesDeveloping leadsPerformance reviewsKey participant in production schedulingRun daily production reportsNew item implementation (educating employees on new items)Determine labor needs/manage personnel issues with HR managerDaily reconcile - production versus scheduleEnsure quality standards (work with QC Department as necessary and implement any new procedures)Maintain packing specification booksImplement cleaning scheduleWork with QC to ensure high quality standardsCoordinate new/special item testingPrepare for inspectionsAssist Maintenance Manager with equipment supportWork with Greens department on green coffee inventoriesSafety/OSHA implementation in production areaOther duties as assigned
